A child called it, By Dave Pelzer

A young boy known as the child called "it" is adopted from a family that would abuse him so he was taken in my social workers,he then was found a lovely family,he went on nice holidays and had a good time,but then all so suddenly his new mother started to abuse him viciously in ways no one would understand,his mother became an alcholholic and abused him daily. The worst thing was is that she did it secretly,no one knew he was being abused except for his father who was afraid of his wife. His mother said that if he told anyone he would be dead. So he had no way out. But happily in the end he broke free and lived in a orphanage he then found a lovely couple that took him in and he then became a pilot.

This Book is very down to earth. The tone and vocabulary reflect the childs wisdom at that particular time i would rate this book 10/10 it is very facinating.

Candyfloss, By Jacqueline Wilson

Candyflosse's mother and father split up when she was little, and she wishes they'd get back together because she doesn't like her stepfather, Steve, and her little half brother Tiger. The book opens on Floss's birthday, when her mom and stepfather take her to TGI Friday's, and tell her that they are going to Australia for six months because of Steve's job. Floss wants to go with them, but she can't leave her father, cheerful and fun Charlie, who runs his own cafe which is slowly going out of business. However, Floss convinces her mother that she can live with her dad, while they are in Australia. Floss has a tough time getting use to life with her father, since he is not used to taking care of Floss seven days a week, and she is not used to his home seven days a week, either. Floss's school uniforms get dirtier as her father is not used to washing and ironing them, but her teacher, Mrs. Horsefield, helps her out, as Floss is one of her personal favorite students. However, they cope and meet Rose, a very caring woman who works at a fair. After she leaves traveling with the fair, they keep an eye out for her fair. Meanwhile, a regular customer at the cafe (Billy the Chip) puts money on a horse that Floss selects, so her father is given the money, and although they don't have enough to keep the cafe and their small flat, they buy small but much-needed necessities. After losing the cafe and the flat, Billy the Chip mentions he is going to Australia to visit his son for several months, and Floss and her father live in his house while Charlie works in the chip butty van (his specialty). However, one day, a group of drunk, no-good men fight an old friend of Floss and Charlie's, and when he attempts to stop the fistfight, the van catches on fire, and Floss is stuck inside. Charlie fights his way through the fire and rescues her, while in the process burning his hands. Floss also has a best friend, Rhiannon who isn't acting much of a friend, making fun of her and her father, and starting cruel rumors about her. Floss finds a new friend, Susan, who is interested in all her favorite things. When the fair comes back in town, Rose and Charlie consider dating, and Floss finds out both are interested in each other. Later, Susan moves to France and says farewell to Floss at the beginning of summer. The book closes with Floss dying her hair pink.

This book waas very intresting but you could easily loose the plot quite easily i would rate this book 7/10
